Influence and Persuasion are skills.

Leaders know the power of influence and persuasion. Born leaders, by nature are: naturally charismatic, powerful speakers, magnetic personalities. With enthusiasm and passion these skills can be developed over time.  Realize the extraordinary power and benefits of enhancing and mastering these two mental abilities.

An interesting point about people who use their influential skills well is that other people like to be around them. There's a kind of "exciting buzz," a feeling that this is where things are going to happen. And who doesn't like to be part of and around things that are "happening."

Influencers don't sit around blaming others or complaining about what needs to be done. They see what needs fixing and they get it done.

Influencing is about understanding yourself and the impact and effect you have on others.

We all know what it means to influence or persuade others. But, do we know what it takes to be successful at it and how dangerous influence is when used for the wrong purpose?

Learning the psychology of people (human nature), how they act and react, is a good first step in mastering the skills of influence and persuasion.

First step: Find out exactly what it takes to posses a more influential personality.

Practice these traits in small increments. Don't try to change your personality overnight--everyone will notice and you may not achieve the desired effect.

People with influence are:

  1. Positive
  2. Optimistic
  3. Strong willed
  4. Determined
  5. Enthusiastic
  6. Hard workers
  7. Friendly

People with real influence practice these traits daily. Influential people's actions speak louder than words.

- Albert Schweitzer

Whatever form it takes, being an excellent influencer makes your job, or whatever you are trying to do, easier.

"The secret of my influence has always been that it remained secret”

- Salvador Dali
